meeting the industry

workshop success

Our workshops and frequent showcases have led to over 80 offers of representation from agents such as Paling and Jenkins, Felix de Wolfe, Elaine Murphy, Shane Collins, Billboard, Forbes–Sutherland Management, Dee Boss, Union Management, West Central Management and RD Casting.

Over the years, we have had the pleasure to receive many guests – from Casting Directors such as , Dan Hubbard (King Kong, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), Emma Crompton (Beauty and the Beast, Sherlock), Andrea Clarke (Blade II, Mutant Chronicles) to Agents like Luke Reilly (The Artists Partnership), Hannah Wilkinson (Emptage Hallett), Max Latimer (JAG), Bex Elliff (C.A.M.), Michael Keane (Elaine Murphy Associates)

We also invite filmmakers, directors and producers like Kathleen Hutchinson ( Executive Producer, Holby City and East Enders), Barry Ryan (Agatha Raisin) to watch our classes when seeking to cast their projects.

We have had actors directly cast in roles for TV (including BBC and Channel Four), leads for The Discovery Channel, numerous feature films (Community, Kick Ass 2, Killer Weekend), two internet series, and many short films.

Please note:

Payments must be made 48 hours before the date of the workshop (at the latest) to secure a place. Cancellations on the day will not be refunded, except in exceptional circumstances.

meeting the industry

our locations

We use non-traditional spaces to run our workshops, an approach inspired by the ad hoc, impromptu theatre companies of the 70s and 80s. Their shows were staged in church rooms, scout halls, schools, tents, etc – an ‘alternative’ ethos that also gave birth to the original Fringe. We follow the same path.

Our use of pubs, restaurants, and conference rooms is in keeping with this philosophy, and happily, allows us to keep our workshops reasonably priced.

This informal approach also creates a relaxed, almost ‘casual’ atmosphere, which serves to circumvent notions of ‘us and them’ (on both sides). We’re all equal, and all in it together.
